This book provides examples on how to use the all the standard libraries included with the Arduino IDE. Additional examples are provided for non standard libraries like Multitasking and USB host with the Arduino Due and Bridge with the Arduino Yun. I hope the Author adds an online appendix on how to use USB host and the built in debugger with the Arduino Zero.The preferred audience for this book has a working C++ knowledge. Others who think C++ is Greek can use the examples provided but may have difficulties in understanding how the code works.The section on electronics has an obvious error. It concerns the direction of current and electron flow. The author sates electrons move from a location of higher penitential energy to a location of lower potential energy. It is just the opposite. electrons flow from lower to higher potential energy. Current flows from higher to lower potential energy.

I enjoyed the book, especially the excellent descriptions of a variety of the various types of Arduino boards. Even though it starts with the very basics, the book goes on to explore deeper topics including Arduino libraries and how to write them yourself. I have several Arduino introductory publications, and I rate this one among the best. However, I recommend that you do not rely on any one particular introductory Arduino book but rather sample a couple of the top rated ones.

Wish there would have been more detail on interrupt operation and 'Dispatcher' application. There is a lot of sample code to download (which I like), but why not have a single ZIP file of the all sketches instead of requiring over a dozen separate downloads and unzipping?

This is a very convenient book on how to use the Arduino computer series to accomplish a range of 24 hardware projects and build two custom software libraries to make your projects work. It has a very thorough introduction to electronic parts and circuit equations to determine what component values to choose to make your circuits work correctly.As an experienced electrical engineer, most of the design processes are old hat to me, but I can confirm that they will will give you a proper introduction to transistor biasing and interfacing to the microprocessor signals.The real value in this inexpensive book is the material on how to write the code to operate the hardware interface. In that, it excels. So, buy the book, learn how to be a hardware wizard, and save yourself about 2000 hours of frustration trying to do it all yourself.

Does a good job explaining what pre assembled sketches are available and how to make your own. The writing is clear. They aren't trying to sell anything, just information what is available and where to find components. Some dimensions for the arduino pin spacing etc. would be helpful.

Truth in advertising: I've not yet read the entire book. I'm still in Chapter 3. But I wanted to get these comments out there so as to alert the author of some of the problems I'm seeing.I really like Langbridge's approach, and the way he describes and explains things in very simple terms, I found his explanation of the history of electronic experimenting from Ham Radio to kit building to computers, and arriving at Arduino makers to be very enlightening, and I learned many things about the evolution of electronic hobbies that I hadn't heard or read anywhere else.Unfortunately, the book is tarnished by errors.For starters, Langbridge shows us the ubiquitous Arduino sketch called Blink. It's the one that comes pre-loaded in every Arduino processor board, and it causes an on-board LED to blink at a rate of 0.5 Hz (i.e., on for 1 second, off for 1-second). But then the code he shows is _NOT_ the same sketch as the one pre-loaded. It has a different time delay, so will blink the LED at 2.5 Hz,To add to the confusion, Langbridge's code retains not only the sketch name, Blink, but the first two lines of the header, which describes the half-Hertz rate. Even worse, he says you can either key the sketch in (and get the 2,5Hz rate) or load it from File/Examples/01: Basics (and surely get the half-Hertz rate).Is this a fatal flaw? Not really. But it really jangles because it's the very first code example in the book. By mixing up two versions of the simple sketch, Langbridge took what should have been a slam-dunk, clear-as-glass example and let confusion reign.My next beef is about the figures. I'm using the Kindle for PC app. Readers using a Kindle Fire or Paperwhite might see them differently, but on my PC, the figures are so tiny as to be almost invisible.Also, Figures 3.5 and 3.6 have been swapped.That's all I have for now, but hey: I'm only in chapter 3. My impression so far is, a potentially great book by a well-spoken and articulate author, but perhaps rushed to print without enough time in the proof cycle. The resultant quality does not justify the relatively high price, compared to similar books on similar devices.You might want to wait for the 2nd Edition.His code will blink the LED at a rate of 2.5Hz (0.2s on, 0.2s off). To make matters worse, the header comment block still says that the LED will blink at the 0.5Hz rate. To add to the confusion, Langbridge says that you can either type the sketch in (and thereby get a 2;5Hz blink rate (he says "between 2 and 3 seconds"), or load it from File/Examples/01: Basics, in which you will surely get the 0.5Hz version.Look, I think I understand what happened. Langbridge wanted his readers to do their own work, and practice changing the parameters to seeBut the code hi shows, which is also called Blink, is noUnfortunately,

I thought that there would be an appendum for the current year. Also thought there was an instruction page for poppets, I couldn't find one.The printer should be ashamed for the quality of the.print job. Some of the.pictures are not legible.I have seen better work from the author and had high hopes for this book.

Wasn't impressed by the lack of things that are common in a bos(book of shadows). It's centered highly on wicca and not very easy to tweak if you practice anything other than Wicca.

Many drawings are amateurish.

Very nice, great pictures.Looking forward to using it.

Not worth the money. I got 3 different books, and I wouldn't use any of them in my book of shadows

I'm having such a fun time with this BOS coloring book. Aleena Alastair has done a great job of incorporating pictures, info and room for your own recipes/rituals/etc. The coloring/pics are well placed and add to the the beauty of your own work. Each Sabbat has its own section with pages for you to write about your oils/incense/rituals. I can not recommend this book enough!Have fun coloring and Blessed Be.

I enjoyed this book in more ways than one. Not only does it allow me time with my little one. I can share my passion in a fun educational level.

Great book. It challenges the religious myths that keep Christians impoverished. This book surprised me. I thought that I was going to get some more spiritual quasi positive thinking stuff. But this is the most practical book on prosperity I have ever read that was written by a Christian.

The book had a lot of information but certain portions appeared twisted through interpretations. I doubt if I would recommend this book to anyone. Study to show thou self approved.

I think there are not enough book like this as if if money was bad and a taboo...and men and women of God couldn't have any.We see stories like the beggar and the rich who both died and ended up on two different places. The rich in torment and the beggar on Abraham laps being comforted... yet, there is one thing we don't talk about...Abraham was rich TOO!And what about James who doesn't talk too good about the rich (bad rich that is) and finish his letter with Job who ended up his life even more wealthier than when he started.We seem to miss the obvious and see only what we are conditioned to see.Love this book. It's full of sound biblical principles.

This was one of select few books I ordered recently from Amazon. I wanted sound Biblical principles along with wise advice and motivation. This book did not disappoint. Although Dr. Anderson repeats allot of financial points found in other books, he takes the time at the beginning of his book to make sure 'your head in in the right place'. People say fear can be a great motivator but I agree with Anderson that fear is a demotivator and freezes people in moving forward. There is no fear in in God.The book also gives some great ideas for budgeting, tithing, giving and investing and the reasons why.I highly recommend this book to people who are looking for a solid read away from the hype of some other writers.Kind Regards,Larry J Clark[...]

This book has totally transcended what I was taught growing up in church and from my family about money and God! The book could not have come to me at a better time. It exposes the lies we as Christians have adapted to over the years regarding faith and prosperity. The book has given me a clear direction for what true prosperity and wealth is, it's intent, and how to attain it. I'm passing the book on to all my family and friends. If you live by these principals I believe true wealth and riches in God will manifest here physically on the Earth.

I bought this book out of curiosity. I thought it was just another book that teaches,"name it and claim it" doctrine. But it is based on sound biblical principles. Setting goals is in the will of God. Joseph was an investor, and a wise investor. The notion that a christian must be poor is not of God but from the enemy. God wants us to be fruitful, wealthy. According to proverbs 13:22, " A good man leaves an inheritance for his children's children". How can that be if that person doesn't have an inheritance in the first place? You can't give what you don't have.I highly recommend this book for whoever wants to acquire knowledge. Buy this book as soon as you can and start reading it. I guarantee you it's going to change your financial life if you let it.

He's also been written with an "edge" and an air of venality, seemingly absent from the other characters.Garry Trudeau has published a new book, "Yuge!", repeating the strips featuring Donald Trump. It's being released at a good time. Trudeau began "covering" Donald Trump in the late 1980's when he was prominent developer in New York City...and Garry Trudeau was a prominent cartoonist. Trudeau began adding Trump in the late 1980's and he was included in stories with other characters like Duke, Honey, BD, and Boopsie. Trump did not like being mocked in print and said so, loudly. Trudeau continued to use Donald Trump as a character, much to Trump's annoyance. Trump tossed slams at Garry Trudeau and Graydon Carter of "Spy Magazine" in interviews. Later, "tweets" became Trump's means of fighting back at people he considered "unfair" to him.Trudeau begins with Trump talking about entering the 1988 Republican contest and then skips ahead to the 2000 when he wants to run for the Reform Party nomination. Whether you're a supporter - or not - of Trump, the "Doonesbury" comics are a searing reminder of just who Donald Trump is. They should be read by everyone voting in November.

As always, Mr. Trudeau "gets it" and takes us along as he dissects this Hitler wannabe and exposes all his warts. It was horrifying enough when it was just an imagined possibility some 30 years ago, but now that the unthinkable is a reality, I can only lament that the people who elected this man weren't intelligent enough to even read Doonesbury, let alone heed Mr. Trudeau's warning. I weep for America.

Trudeau has a nack for spotting and pointing out the worlds biggest bullies and denigrates of the world. His 30 year collection of observations of Trump is spot on. This book highlights every glaring fault of America's largest narcissistic bully. Make Trump Great Again!

Garry Trudeau has a wonderful sense of humor but I think he must also be able to see the future. How else would he have seen, 30 years ago, that an egotistical womanizing buffoon would consider running for president? I laughed out loud while reading this book. Unfortunately the ignorant Trump supporters won't see the truths hidden in the humor.

Trudeau was way ahead of his time. He long ago recognized Trump as the egotistical person he is who is out for himself. What a con job that Trump was able to convince the working people he was for them!

I found myself laughing out loud. Trudeau was on to Trump over 25 years ago, and it is mind-boggling how spot-on Trudeau's depictions were then and how they resonate today. The Donald Trump of 1988 and thereabouts is the Donald Trump of today. The guys at Spy Magazine -- Grayson Carter and his cohorts -- have solicited and received a lot of ink about calling Trump a "short-fingered vulgarian," but Trudeau was far more cutting and prescient in understanding and explaining the true Trump. This work is a useful, I would venture to say a must-read, reminder that The Donald is who he has always been.

Whether you think the Donald is a Yuge! Hero or a Yuge! Horse's patootie, you have to love the Yuge! Satirical talent of GB Trudeau in this largely hilarious and on target skewering of a famous public persona over a long period of time prior to his Yuge! ascension as Candidate Trump. The Snark Gods smile down their approval. LMAO, etc.

Great fun whether you choose the printed book or Kindle version. I found the Kindle version a little quirky because it tends to jump back and forth between the available viewing options, but still lots of fun. The book provides undeniable proof that some people don't change for the better as they get older.

This was my favorite cookbook when I was a young mom just learning to bake. I lost it many years ago. When I saw it on Amazon, I had a rush of memories and didn't wait a minute before ordering it. It is missing a couple of pages, but I am happy to have it back on my shelf. I am 68 now, but the recipes are still wonderful.😁

This is my "go to" book for general bread/roll baking. I've bought one for each of my girls and other young gals who have no clue...

I bought my first Sunset Breads cookbook back in the 1960's and literally wore it out. I was so delighted to find this same edition (a slightly used one) listed on Amazon. I am, of course, happily using this book with great results! I do recommend this old set of bread recipes for anyone who likes to make bread.

The origional Bread book replaced my over-used edition which is totally worn out.

I have several other Sunset cook books that I have enjoyed and used often over the years. Decided to try this one, too. Have only tried a couple of recipes but have been pleased with the results with both. Look forward to trying many more!

I bought this because I used to own a copy. A lot of my personal recipes came from this book, such as Venetian Liver, Veal Chops with Red Vermouth, Parmesan Tomatoes, Zabaglione, etc. A used copy, at a great price, in fine condition with only a couple of minor stains. Not even a slight odor to it.

I bought this book as a replacement to copy I've had for many years. I just love it.
