Spoilers to follow....The couple met in high school and fell madly in love. They were each other's firsts. They got married and now 11 years later ...two children, separate bedrooms, infidelity accusations, shouting matches, name calling, trust issues and then...divorce discussions. The h feels frumpy and unattractive because of her weight gain from having two kids and is insecure because H is a hunk. She runs the household so she doesn't have much time to maintain her appearance. She thinks the H is cheating on her with his secretary. She tries to surprise him one day at the office and catches him having lunch with his secretary. The secretary was perched on his desk and giving him a full view of her stocking clad legs while eating lunch. That scene fueled further thoughts of him cheating on her and that becomes a constant trust issue for her through out the story. The H and his family repeatedly puts down the h for not having a "real job."The H works long hours to provide for the family and is rarely home for dinner or any family event. He does not have time to make a full appearance for his children's school events. He barely made it to the hospital for their births. The h reminds him of that frequently..missed dinners and the last minute arrival for the children's births. They have had separate bedrooms for a year with the occasional booty call. Everything became routine and boring ..including sex. After another shouting match, the H suggests a divorce. The h agrees. However, they get roped into a family vacation by his parents and since they have not disclosed their marital woes to the family, they are forced to participate as a happy couple. They decide to give their marriage a second chance before they start on their vacation.I liked the story for the most part but I wanted more of the H's pov. In a divorce situation, I want to hear thoughts from both sides. I would say most of the book (90%) was told from the h's pov. The H chimed in at the very end, but it wasn't enough. I also thought there was too much needless drama with the H's brother and the h's bff. I also thought the h took too much of the blame through out the story. She was a nagging shrew, but it was primarily because he was an a** to her. He seem to blow hot and cold throughout the story. He does make up for it at the end. I also felt the h needed to make the H grovel for listening to his brother's lies and not giving her a chance to explain at the end. She instead takes full blame for not making him listen. The H throws her out of their house without giving her a chance to explain. They do not reconcile until he learns the truth at their divorce proceedings. He really needed to do more to earn her forgiveness. I also wondered how he had a ring on him if they were at divorce proceedings. Maybe I missed a passage?I would recommend.

I am going through a period where I am liking marriage in peril books more than usual. I have a very important rule though, no cheating! I can't read those. This one is intense and there were times I hated the hero Brody. He was a complete jerk. When he asked for the divorce I was shocked and he basically said I love you but I am not in love with you. How painful to hear that. His constant belittling of her role in life, his anger, his behavior was atrocious. Then they make up, only to break up again. The second one was brutal and I cried. I did get mad too because it was the notorious communication error, where he said something and she thought it was something else and she tried to explain, but not hard enough and it was a constant battle between them. They filed for divorce, he kicked her out and would not talk to her. He was mean to the kids and he told the kids she didn't want them and I really was disgusted by him. Their families were majorly dysfunctional, and so many secrets and lies and it was overwhelming sometimes. I had to set it down but I couldn't stop reading it. There are so many toxic people in their lives it was just too much at times to take. And then they discover sex again! I lost the rest of this review because the kindle can’t save them right. It’s so frustrating.

I was hooked on this book from the start. While we all want our HEA, this books explores what happens when you get your HEA and then some. While they were childhood sweethearts, life seems very different to them now than what both of them expected. The drifting apart as work and children get into the way of couple time; until it comes to a point where the horrendous "D" word is brought up and both parties are trying to come to terms with it.Sometimes, it is great to have meddling family members to help put back the pieces and realise why you fell in love in the first place. Will Gabby and Brody get their forever HEA or will the strain of everything that is unspoken prove too much?

I absolutely loved this book. A definite page turner that makes you want to cry and laugh and hope and dream. Most books end with “and they live happily ever after” I always wanted to know what that is like, what happens after the words “the end” and this book tells the story of exactly that.

Ok.. So, i found this book on wattpad (last night)I couldn't stop reading it and i was seriously angry when it stopped.Yes, i know that it was a sample. Well, i know NOW but i somehow didn't notice that part when i added the book to my library. Anyways, like i said, i was super angry, not at you! I just hate cliffhangers.I saw the update about the book being published and realized that it was being published today. I bought it on Amazon and read nonstop!Seriously, nonstop! I told my husband to spend the day with our son, so i could read without interruptions (😕😕 he married a bookworm, now he has to deal with it 😅😕)Well, i finished a few hours ago and I'm SO happy that i bought it!Brody and Gabbie are so cute!I found their struggles very realistic but i adored how they both recommitted to their marriage! This book is AMAZING!!!

This is the story of what happens after the happy ending. After the couple settle down and have children. The so called wake up call in real life. High school sweethearts marry. But is it still happy family? What happened to the marriage when life starts getting rocky? And each begin to not communicate to the other? Can the marriage work out?

This was a brilliant and seductive novel. The level of intimacy displayed in this novel was refreshing and exciting. This brings back the lust and passion in any marriage. This is a absolute must read for anyone out there looking to spice things up . I cannot wait for another novel on this level from this author. Would love to see this on the big screen .
